Role:

JMAR is looking for a laser and nonlinear optic prototype specialist for rapidly expanding laser technical group.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

•  This position requires hands on experience assembling, modifying, and characterizing
  Nd: YAG lasers with DPSS experience preferred. 
• Experience with prototyping nonlinear optical devices such as optical parametric oscillators (OPOs), parametric amplifiers, and nonlinear mixing crystals a must. 
• Must have practical knowledge of various optical alignment techniques, be able to apply concepts to experiments, and have working knowledge of numerous standard laser, optic, and electronic diagnostics equipment. 
• Strong emphasis is placed upon rapid prototyping and low rate fabrication with the desire to make an optimal transition of the technology to production. 
• This position requires a highly motivated individual who can take top level direction, then plan and execute the details.
• Knowledge of laser production with some customer service desirable, and must be comfortable giving customer demonstrations. 

Minimum Requirements:
This key position requires at least 5-10 years of direct experience and an Associates or Bachelors degree in laser technology, with consideration given for 10+ years of relevant experience.
