High Power Solid State Lasers: JMAR’s compact, solid state, Britelight™ Laser
provides an unequaled combination of beam quality, pulse energy,
pulse width, and repetition rate in a compact design. This laser
is currently used for bio-analysis, large non-linear optical crystal
conditioning, and for soft-X-ray generation through laser produced
plasma. A newly introduced modular design offers flexibility and
expansion capability for research, industrial, and academic organizations
in custom applications.

Compact X-ray Light Source: As technological advances
push device dimensions ever smaller, the need for nanoscale wavelength
light sources is rising rapidly. JMAR has created a compact soft
X-ray light source that meets this growing need and is unequaled
in terms of compact size, energy, power, pulse width, and ease
of use. JMAR builds X-ray sources for R&D and as the light source
for its Collimated Plasma Lithography (CPL) system.
X-Ray Lithography Systems: JMAR has developed
CPL sources and X-ray steppers for semiconductor lithography applications.
JMAR’s CPL technology offers the potential for a 5 to 10 times
increase in throughput, with commensurate decrease in cost for
gallium arsenide semiconductor fabrication.
Compact X-Ray Microscope: JMAR is developing the
first commercially viable and truly compact X-ray microscope (XRM)
for 3D visualization of single cells and polymers at sub-50 nanometer
resolution. The XRM enables research facilities worldwide to rapidly
carry out X-ray tomography in their own facilities for the first
time.
Compact X-Ray Nano Probe: By focusing its soft
X-ray light source down to an extremely small spot size (i.e. 20
nanometer diameter), JMAR’s X-ray Nano-Probe enables nanometer-scale
interaction with advanced materials for analysis and modification.
With broad application to chemical analysis, nano-machining, and
nano-deposition for advanced materials research.
