U.S. water distribution systems are potential terrorist targets due to the critical need for clean water in all sectors of society. A terrorist attack that contaminates a public or private municipal water system will cause devastating economic and public health consequences. With the most recent warnings of bio-attack threats, JMAR is alerting the public, our government officials, and the incoming Obama Administration about the benefits of using BioSentry®. As part of this initiative, JMAR representatives attended a conference in Washington, D.C., which specifically addressed "Shaping the Obama Administration's Counterterrorism Strategy," at the CATO Institute on January 12-13, 2009. Later that week, on January 15, 2009, CNBC aired the prime-time BioSentry® video news release shown here. The video reached around 4,000,000 viewers, and was distributed to roughly 190 cable stations nationwide through the Independent News Network.
