BriteLight™ is JMAR's family of patented diode pumped solid state (DPSS) lasers which offer an unmatched combination of high brightness and high average power in a reliable and highly modular design.

The BriteLight™ maser oscillator delivers over 0.7 mJ in an 800ps pulse at repetition rates of up to 500Hz and with a TEM00 beam profile in its standard configuration. By using a proprietary diode pump arrangement in combination with a Q-switch, mode-locker, and cavity dumper the BriteLight™ can achieve an impressive combination of short pulse, smooth temporal profile, and excellent spatial mode.

Near Diffraction Limited Beam

JMAR�s BriteLight™ has been carefully developed and manufactured to deliver a unique design for the best output and highest power possible. Even when operating at full power the BriteLight™ ensures that the output is close to diffraction limited. Amplification of the master oscillator output is done first in a single stage four-pass, pre-amplifier and then in a dual-stage, four-pass power amplifier. In each stage the BriteLight™ uses JMAR�s proprietary technology to compensate for the effects of thermal lensing, stress-induced birefringence and depolarization.
